This beauty was performed at 2gauge (6mm) with an @anatometalinc ASTM F136 7/16" circular barbell and was pierced with a combo of telescopic and pilot methods to achieve the clients desired size. 🔭👩‍✈️🌈

Contrary to what you may think, although these piercings can be very challenging as a piercer, they are surprisingly easy to get done and heal.

Intimate piercings are always a challenge of skill and troubleshooting as everyone’s anatomy is different, and those on the other side of the needle are usually a little more nervous, making for some pretty intense moments.

I had the pleasure of teaching this class alongside @jessica_rabid_pierces, who contributed vital information and useful insights learnt from travelling and performing procedures worldwide.

At over 180 slides (don’t freak out, there are LOTS of pictures), there was no way we were going to be able to teach it all - so we let our attendees pick what they wanted to learn about, and we delved deep into a few of my favourites to discuss different procedural techniques, and I even got to learn some new stuff from other attendees!

Although this will be a long-term work in progress, I want to share the entire director’s edition PDF with the industry and anyone who may benefit from its information completely free.

#AUPP2023 would not have been even remotely possible if it wasn’t for these amazing and talented individuals (and the weirdo in lavender).

What can I say, except I genuinely can’t think of a group of more passionate people that I would want to sit around with at 2am cutting name tags, spending countless hours planning out and organising events, or just having a little giggle at a new video filter.

They took countless hours away from their lives, businesses, families, pets and partners to create something special for us all to benefit from. Together, we can complement each other`s strengths and make something we have all wanted (and the industry has needed!) for several years.

We have had several inspiring people involved in the AUPP since its creation, but you three are the true stars, even if you ruined my deep love for spreadsheets. We have come a LONG way and I am genuinely excited to see what we can continue to achieve in the future!

I taught this class for the first time at APP this year in Las Vegas to a whopping 450 attendees, but there was something so much more intimate presenting it in Sydney to 108 people. Having personally worked alongside so many of the attendees, some of whom were there during the development and mastering of the techniques was something else.

The director’s cut is over 100 slides of choreographed septum procedures, history, methodology, bad jokes and background to every element involved in doing a septum piercing.

I don’t think there is ever enough time to teach a class like that all in one sitting, even with a cut-down version it still ran well over the 90-minute allotment (that’s also why I went last).

#AUPP2023 was such an intense event for me. 🏩💞🎟️

It was far beyond just a conference, more than just education, more significant than just a room full of piercers - it was the manifestation of a community of like-minded people wanting to not only thrive but to see their peers also.

It’s going to take me some time to decompress all my feelings and a lifetime to express my gratitude to everyone involved. I simply don’t think I can even do it in a single post, so let`s begin by thanking the actual AUPP members!
